Freep: How Suburban Teen Woman Allegedly Faked Threats From 2 Teen Men With Artificial Intelligence And Duped The Cops

The advances of artificial intelligence continue to perplex and challenge our ability to distinguish real from fake.

"I'm gonna burn down ur house with u in it, then tie up ur fucking burned body and choke u and fuck u so bad and shoot u in ur ugly fucking face."

For three months, Raza tried to convince police that neither he nor his friend had sent the messages.

Baldas writes that Raza’s lawyer eventually hired a digital forensic expert, who found evidence showing Rustam had created the messages using AI and had taken measures online to hide their origin. She now faces charges for framing Raza and his friend. In June, the Free Press reports, she confessed to the scheme.

The case highlights the dangers of AI and the fact that, in many cases, law enforcement lacks the sophistication to determine what is real and what is fake.
